Armenia operates one nuclear power plant located about 30 km west of Yerevan, the country's capital. To ensure the safety of the population in Armenia and beyond in the event of an incident, the European Commissioning is financially supporting Armenia in the acquisition and installation of an automatic online radiation monitoring early warning system for monitoring and dispersion modeling with an emergency center for the Armenian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ANRA).
The European Commission-funded system consists of 35 gamma dose measurement stations (GammaTRACER XL2), three spectroscopic measurement stations (SpectroTRACER Air/Sol), and a server system including a client computer for the emergency center equipped with a powerful online supervision software (DataEXPERT 10).
Discover in this application note the automatic and connected alert system delivered by Bertin Technologies for radiological monitoring and dispersion modeling to protect the population in case of emergency.
